DSG Build delays

Did you now that they are now quoting approx 12 month build time for California DSG, order now and it won't go into build till 2013, and then it'll be 10 weeks! I am just putting in my orders for my 2013 California's!! They seem to be a victim of their own success. But as a gearbox, in my view, they are the best in the market.

Obviously if you own one, and we own three, it will do wonders for the residuals

It really does make you wonder what's going on over there in Germany?

When we ordered our DSG 4motion we were quoted 6 months lead time, which surprised me as even Land Rover (who I have had several vehicles from) build to order only quote 12 weeks.

Yet our van turned up in 3 months?? Are there still DSG supply problems? Or is it merely VAG controlling supply to keep prices up. Is it simply demand in central Europe for LHD units limiting supply to the UK (as we are a secondary & smaller market)??

Residuals have always been good on Cali's compared to most other vehicles & long may it continue :barmy
