Finally gave in to my faulty screen on my Discover Media head unit today. Took it to a really nice guy near Speke and he repaired it while I waited.
This guy does not overlay the new touch screen on top of the old one he correctly removes the original faulty part and then attaches a new touch screen as per OEM.

Hi Geoff the cost is £150. The guy took my unit out for me and refitted it after the repair so it cost me £160. The guy does a postal service too. Have a look at his website. G
