Is there not and inlet for fridge cooling air below the fridge (through the floor) next to the fridge heat exhaust?

Not on the T5 and presumably T6. The Fridge heat exchanger is next to the side body panel. Thats why the NS body should not be in prolonged direct sunlight when camping, and hence the fridge work more efficiently.
