Heater remote control kaputttt

Hi Carter, perhaps it helps if you describe your specific problem in more detail. As it may differ from that of others. Maybe some questions will help other to help you. For example:

Has the remote previously worked or did you recently acquire the cali second hand and don't know? (perhaps it's not paired with the heater)
Does your heater work when you operate it from the control panel directly without using the remote?
What flashing of lights do you see? Green or red?
Does the heater light on the control panel come on when you turn the heater on on the control panel?
Is there enough diesel in the fuel tank?
Have you tried resetting the control panel and tried again afterwards?

The van is second hand 2006 California. The heater works on timer, manual start on hook up, on battery.

The control panel has been reset

There is diesel in tank, leisure batteries are charged.

If you press the remote to start you get a green flashing light if you press the remote to stop you get a red flashing light nothing else happens.

I have no idea whether it worked before.

It just won’t start or respond to remote.

I'm no expert at all, but with the info you have given and the fact that you do not know whether it has worked in the past, if I would have to make a guess I would say it's not paired. This thread describes the location of the receiver and 2 solutions to pair the remote with the receiver. One of which you theoretically could do yourself without a specialist. Hope this helps.

Thanks I’ll have a look and see what happens
