Collecting on 21st of AprilThat's great - I wonder if you are one of last of the crop of us who got delayed to collect yours?
Oh that's a beaut! It's been a ballache for everyone in the Class of 18 having to wait so long for their new arrivals (and my heart goes out to audio2 and anyone else still to collect theirs), but the bad memories fade quickly once you can enjoy your first night(s) away and wake up to views like this.
Thanks, very much hoping for awesomeness.Oh cool I thought it had been damaged in delivery, would love to see pictures of the finished product it will look awesome
Hoping for a delivery next week. Getting a bit twitchy! Thanks, very much hoping for awesomeness.
Thought I would give a quick update on what the funky bus looks like now!Just arrived home safe and sound after a very smooth handover, no faults that I’ve found so far, took the checklist - doesn’t take long to do, I’m sure I’ve missed a few bits.
Took a lovely leisurely drive home across country, with a huge smile on my face really pleased with all the options I chose, apple maps got me home faultlessly through CarPlay.
Oh, you want pictures?

It’s been well worth the wait, and it’s home in time for Easter which is a real bonus, just lots of day trips planned at the moment, starting with a trip down to the coast between Bexhill and Eastbourne on Good Friday.
Now, off to sit in the funky bus and play with all of the buttons.
Massive thank you to all on the forum, particularly the regulars on this thread - you’ve kept me sane.
Tom

Looking good!Thought I would give a quick update on what the funky bus looks like now!
Adventures so far:
Fish and chips with sea view/Sussex coast 1 day tour
Birthday Winchelsea picnic including interior decorations/ escapee lamb rescue...
Smug in Sissinghurst castle garden car park roof up drinking tea! - it’s the little things!
We’re completely in love with our bus, we’ve already found & explored new places within minutes of our home. To me this is what it’s all about.

In Italy there are still problems of matriculation, customers who have their vehicle stopped since December 2017 is missing the certificate of approval, while for me it seems that my vehicle already built with the new rules is still parked in Hannover waiting for be transported to Italy. Easter is over, now we expect the holidays of April 25 and the May 1 bridge ... I think even those little holidays we could spend them together with our Cali. I am demoralized and tired now to wait. Moreover, I am happy for you that you have received your dream and that you can finally live it ... Greetings from Italy ...
Very sorry to hear this @Ezio, I thought the restrictions had all been lifted, I wonder what is different in Italy (apart from the great food, wine, weather, culture....)In Italy there are still problems of matriculation, customers who have their vehicle stopped since December 2017 is missing the certificate of approval, while for me it seems that my vehicle already built with the new rules is still parked in Hannover waiting for be transported to Italy. Normally a bit later around May the order book closes as they prepare for MY19 that goes up end of May, maybe because of the issues and proposed changes to model line up they have started early?
Looks a beauty, how much was the detailing? I hope you have many happy times and miles in itNow ready for adventures, beautifully cleaned and treated by Bradley at Concours Detailing, Hartley Whitney with Paul from Protect Your Paintwork applying an incredibly invisible film to hopefully ward off some stone chips. Tinted windows were carried out by Mike at Tinted, Dorset. I cannot thank all these amazingly talented guys for taking such great care with their work, our Cali looks absolutely fantastic and I am so grateful for all your help and advice.

Has anyone received their "£250 token of goodwill" ?
.
I thought that they would have had it ready and waiting at the dealers when the vans were collected.Nothing received in our little corner of Yorkshire. Wonder if they're waiting for all vans to be released (as per Ezio, above) or if it's from VWCV UK direct?
