It’s been a while. Advice needed on bad back!

A couple of things I have learned both personally and professionally about back problems.
1. If you have a scan you will always find a 'problem' with the back, but whether or not that is the cause of the pain is often very uncertain. As a consequence rather too much surgery gets carried out. 2. Most back pain does resolve itself but it takes a lot longer than most people think / have patience for.
So stay with the plan and I am sure you will be fine and don't get too immersed in the medical mechanics. Truth is that beyond a certain age we will all have damaged/swollen/degraded discs, facet joints or whatever. With care, careful exercise and consideration they need not impede most activities.
