You may not know but I had my Westfalia Event stolen four weeks ago so never got to try this, I got insurance got a Westfalia Freestyle, Only problem is this sat unit has tv/dvd and phone like an old seimans. When I first used it the cd and radio sound only come through the back speakers the sat nav voice and phone volume indicated voice (high/low volume come through the main speakers at the front. The music from the iphone comes through rear speakers. My hunch is the aux is now taken up with phone/dvd/tv I don’t want any of these. Do you know what I can do here are some pics Oh there is another separate unit which is below the Sat Nav this is the tv/dvd unit and it is also a receiver. It’s all too much for me

Your cable just plugs in the rear does it not?

You can disconnect anything that connects to the CD unit.

The output to the speakers goes direct from the head unit.

Hi Sidepod, I disconnected the 10 pin din
I connected the i phone with 10 pin din connector I bought and it worked but the music came through rear speakers. I don’t know what the big plugs do?
Not sure what to disconnect?

So if I’m hearing you right your saying disconnect the whole thing and leave the 10 pin din and that should solve the speaker problem ie phone/tv/dvd conncters????

Hi Sidepod I’ve looked again and I get the brown one connects to cd unit the problem is the phone unit of the vehicle is somehow connected to use the front speakers reason I know this is when I adjust the phone volume a voice is hear through the front speakers saying louder/quieter how do I disconnect this?

Blimey. I don’t recall any issues when I did mine. I just unplugged everything including the phone unit.

It was a simple reconnect for the new unit.

Thanks side pod I’ll have ago later after work I’ll unplug everything as you suggested except the brown speaker wires thanks

Hi Sidepod did everyone you said still music comes from rear spears very faint in front when I adjust balance their working as the navigation voice volume indicator comes through loud and clear?

Ok so they’re working if only just. It has to be something in the settings of the head unit menu?

Hi Sidepod, thanks for all your help finally tracked down the problem. The fader menu buttons weren’t working so I used a screw driver all ok now, also connected iPhone to ten pin din aux socket with lead off the net for a fiver and it works perfectly to play iTunes no leads dangling just threaded down the back of sat nav and out where the dvd/tv tray is.

Job Done just The Canvas to replace now going to order one from Gunzi. I hear you diy your own canvas? Do you mind me picking your brains when I get mine?

Search my stuff and you’ll find the thread with photos. :cheers

Regarding the TV tuner, I don't know for sure but I'd say its only able to pick up the older analogue TV stations, most now are digital, so I don't think it will work, but I'm not 100% sure.
As the T4's are getting on for 15+ years old, I'd try not to be breaking stuff as it will get harder to find parts as time goes on.
The Siemens cradle can be unplugged and a cradle for a Nokia 6210 can be plugged in. I have a spare Nokia cradle if you want it.

Hi Padriac, thanks for info.
I can get replacement Antenna vhf online £70 but TV and VHF Antenna is £120.
So if no guarantee digital freeview signal, I’m not going to spend the money.
I’ll just replace with vhf antenna.
Re Nokia holder I would be interested can you get hold of the phones easily? How much would you like for spare cradle?
Qyou

The Nokia 6210 is easy to get second hand, a lot cheaper than their newer cousin the 6310i, PM me regarding the cradle.
