My other car is a ... and i'd rather be driving the xxxxx.

I think the Normally Aspirated Porsches are worthing hanging on to. Its an end of an era, what with the new direction Porsche are going, i.e Turbo charging :(

I know they're not to everyone's taste but I pretty much like all 911s. I looked at the same as Andy the 997.2 4S and 996 turbo. In the end went for the 996 turbo as I must be one a the few who liked the look of it (!) and fancied the Mezger engine but agree the 997 gen 2 is a great car.

Both the Porsche and Cali are weekend cars so it's always a toss up which one to take. It's definitely the Cali this weekend as the weather looks good and we are camping for the first time this year. Yippee!

Rapid machine, very nice.
I was torn between a 997s and the 987 Cayman S.
The Cayman had me as it was 10k cheaper and didn't have electric steering. Last of a dying breed. It's a car I never intend getting rid of.
Still wouldn't mind a 911 though. Might look at one in a few years time, would like a standard carrera, manual in either red or yellow

Agree, same problem! Not s bad problem to have though :D

Borris Yes please:)

I'll drive anything as long as its got a motor.

You probably paid more for you van than I did for the Porsche, if I needed something to drive to the station everyday I wouldn't have bought anything as flash as a Skoda.

Hi andyinluton,
I will need some time to take the child seats out, clear up the sweet wrappers and hose the sticky finger prints and who knows what else off the interior so that I can show it at its most glorious.
Gorgeous Porsche by the way.

Yetis are excellent. I personally think that all Skodas are great cars. They are very well made and make a great long term ownership prospect.

Oh may I post some before after pictures:

Morgan Roadster V6 with NO power steering OR electronic aids at all.

MGB Roadster.

Vespa (bright yellow) Sprint.

Into the Vespa at the moment as fab in the Portugal sunshine.

We are just back from 5 months in the Portugal sunshine in the Cali. As we had our elderly golden retriever with us, we had to drive back via France and the Chunnel for Christmas. So, having left home in Yorkshire in early November with less than 1000 on the clock, it now has over 11,000 due to 2 return journeys.

Ideal second vehicle? We have an electric i3 BMW which is superb. Feels infinitely more advanced than any conventional petrol or diesel car.

Did you knowt hat: Skoda has now got a silver awning for the 2015 Octavias
