OK so getting close to collection now, obviously perused the VIP checklist and scoured the brochure, but there are a few things I'm still not clear on if they should be included or not, primarily because they don't appear in the brochure (at least, as far as I can see) - can anyone advise if the following should be in the vehicle;

- Little torch that fits into the 12v socket/cig lighter on the dash (I assume this is different from the £90 torch option which I believe lives under the driver's seat?)
- First aid kit
- Warning triangle
- Cupholder for the "rail" on the kitchen worktop

I guess then the second question is if I turn up, any/all are missing, I then say they should be included and the retort is "where does it say that?" and it's not in the brochure, not sure how I can evidence it . . .

Who'd have thought there was this much to think about!

Cheers

My van came with the first 3 items you mentioned, don’t know anything about a cup holder, never seen a picture of one of these, maybe an aftermarket product. Also had a small ash tray/ bin provided. Only place these items are likely to be mentioned is in the sales brochure.

As far as I can remember:

The following sometimes missing loose items were in the vehicle in my case on collection:
Child safety net
Small torch for cigarette lighter slot
Awing handle and hold down pins
Fly screens
Roof hold down kit
Ashtray/coin holder (in front mug slot)

The following loose items were missing in mine and Eurovans remedied:
Jack
First aid kit
Triangle
Magnetic cable side window blinds

The following were missing and I realised too late so bought off eBay or amazon:
Door bin (brochure page 22 under ‘cockpit’)
Wheel nut covers (which also fit over the locknut) which appear in the wheel photos:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0B294ZYFZ/?tag=eliteelect-21

I think the rear kitchen cup holder was pre T6.1.

A checklist is really useful. I updated and used a more recent one to the ‘resources’ one. Happy to supply by PM.

There are lots of posts about collection and I found it useful - often for example using advanced search to restrict the time period to recent - in putting together my own check list (which Eurovans, Mike Harbison, quite cheekily took a copy of!).

I had great day out at the collection, hope you do too.

- First aid kit
- Warning triangle

Go to the configurator & look under standard equipment :

02 Safety equipment - First aid kit with warning triangle

The cup holder doesn't get a mention anywhere, neither does the torch or the door bin.

What I got in my MY23 was different to bits provided in my MY20 T6.1, & it's difficult to prove what is & isn't supposed to be there. I never did get a jack out of Citygate as they insist you don't get one with 18" wheels, despite the configurator specifically mentioning its a different jack that you get with the sports pack with 18" wheels and the build sheet for my van saying there is one.

For ours, picked up last year.
Yes - never used it
Yes - EU legal AFAIK

No

We got a small cup/ashtray. It's useless. Never got the larger one, not sure we would use it. Given most people seem to sell theirs, not sure they did either.

When we picked ours up 2 weeks ago the “bits” were as follows:

child safety net for roof bed
2 x sliding window fly screens
2 x magnetic front window blinds
emergency roof hold down kit
kitchen table strap support
first aid kit
warning triangle
Awning winding handle
lidded coin tray / ashtray
pegs for the awning legs
1 x remote fob for the night heater

Missing items:
mini torch for cigar lighter socket - apparently no longer supplied
lidded door bin - dealer replaced from stock.

Also worth checking in the tool box to ensure Jack, wheel brace, towing eye and locking wheel nut key are there. Also check there’s a basket in the fridge, a plastic bowl and plug in the sink, keys for the water filler cap and all the bits in the gas compartment for connecting the gas bottle.

Basically exactly what we got a year ago apart from the button torch, which we don't use.

Don't forget the blinds for the front side windows.

Out of interest, did you get floormats in the front (listed in the brochure) and a 3-pin hookup cable adaptor?

Should get the floor mats.
The hookup adapter is a 2 pin one for some European sites, not a UK 3 pin.

I had a quick inspection of our 19 plate as a used vehicle after paying deposit but before finalising. There were one or two bits missing but a quick email rectified that. So maybe just politely email the dealer & ask them 'to confirm these accessories will be included'. I think in our case they just robbed the bits from another vehicle, but that's not for me to worry about.

When we collected our 1918 T6 it had:
child safety net
2 x sliding window fly screens
2 x magnetic front window blinds
emergency roof hold down kit
kitchen table strap support
first aid kit
warning triangle
Awning winding handle
pegs for the awning legs
1 x remote fob for the night heater
mini torch for cigar lighter socket
lidded door bin
Cup type ash tray.
Cup holder
2 x tea towel rails.
Front Footwell rubber 'Monster Mats.
Short 'Continental' EHU Connector.

It was missing the following:
In Drawer clips for the awning winding handle.
Cuddly toy
Sliding doors.

Collected ours two weeks ago - got all of the above incl. the door bin, with the exception of the torch which I wasn’t expecting as had previously heard elsewhere that it was no longer a thing.

have seen the cup holder for sale somewhere but it said for use in T6 and not T6.1 - it fits on the rail on the kitchen cupboards which must be different between the two versions.

make sure you also receive the remote fob for the heater, the keys for the water inlet x2, and if you have the safe fitted there will be 2x smaller keys for that too.

I got fed up with asking sales for wheel nut covers so I got the parts dept to send them direct to me and bill their own salesman

I got mine in December 22, did not have lane keeping assist which was listed as standard equipment.
Dealer thinks it needs a reprogram to install it.

Is that the little lights in the mirrors?

While you could argue they are part of the same system, the mirror lights are blind spot / overtaking warning. Lane keeping is two elements, it is a rumble on the steering wheel if you go over the line and a gentle push back into lane and a warning beep if you are not driving between the lines (in the middle). This is not the same as other VW’s where lane keeping actually keeps you in the middle and auto adjusts the steering, as long as you keep your hands on the wheel. I’m not sure about it being standard - we paid extra for ours and during the pandemic it was deleted from some vehicles for faster delivery, although you could choose to keep and have a slower delivery.

I’m fairly sure the system you describe (the detection of lane keeping etc) isn’t standard on the Cali

I ordered the lane keeping assistance in October 2021, then in March 2022 I was told it had been discontinued, and my price and order sheet was adjusted. I think there are posts elaborating, apparently it was a bit elemental and crude.

2 tea towel rails - what are those?
Two of these, (Fit T5 & T6 only).
Now £42.99 from the club shop (Their pic).
"Please be aware this will not fit the T6.1 California".
We were surprised (I hesitate to say delighted) to find them in the underseat drawer of ours on handover, they have remained there as we always forget to use them.
