New T6.1 order delays

Looks like a head office template for the dealer to personalise. They obviously forgot as they are probably very busy … or perhaps they just couldn’t be bothered!

I’m not sure if this is a step in the right direction from a communication point of view, or a step back!
We ordered a Beach Camper at the beginning of July. We have had an email today to say that we have a provisional build month of March. The following note from VW was added to the email

“Please see below the estimated build month for your customer tagged orders, we will continue to schedule production based on the order entry date of tagged units only. Please note this is an estimated build month as we continue to experience ad hoc component restrictions. Where these occur, your order will receive the next available production slot once the restriction is overcome”

How much has the VRT rate increased Ceolgra? Never thought of that.
I was given build week 3 of 2022... guessing that will probably skip a bit also. Received no 'Patience Letter' from them either.
When we spoke to the dealer he didn't know how much the VRT rate would increase by but did email us to say it would increase. I think it depends on which band rate the van is in and emissions. !!
it could add another couple of hundred on to the price we think.

Never been so excited about a boat coming in. Supposedly "Fungus The Bogeyvan" (Bay Leaf Green 4mo 204) is aboard. So now just the long wait for it to get to the dealers etc etc. How long have people been waiting from ship to delivery recently?

We got a similar email this morning. We ordered an Ocean at the beginning of July.

Currently sat in our new Ocean 204 having a cup of coffee on a campsite in Swanage, after collecting it from Breeze in Poole yesterday afternoon. Just great! Ordered 1st Feb. So a nine month wait for us but all forgotten now.

Fantastic to hear. What are you loving? Anything surprised you? (I know you had a 2018 Ocean)
I'm picking mine up from Crawley tomorrow...

Do you know when yours landed in the UK? I’m being told mine won’t be at Breeze for another week despite coming into the UK 2 weeks ago.

Loving the Bayleaf Green colour and the darker cupboards and bellows. Not much difference to the 2018 Edition but thinking I might get the black B pillar decals. Hope you're as excited as we were about getting hands on your new one, enjoy

I had a VW chat on 5th October when I was told that my van was still at Emden at status 38. Then a gap in communication from Breeze until 27th October when I was told that it had been with them since 22nd and they had completed the lowering and undersealing.

I hope you love it Tim and the waiting becomes a distant memory!

Thank yoooou! Was great to see yours the other day. Have you slept in it yet? First thoughts?
I just want to keep looking at it! No, not slept in it yet but have had the roof up and got up into the top bed as hadn’t done that before.
I had a really good handover and was shown how lots of things worked so that has given me the confidence to try things. It’s actually easier working things out now I’ve actually got the van - seemed quite overwhelming before that.
I can’t wait to use it properly, it’s not helped that we’ve had lots of rain up here since I got it.
I tried not to buy too much before hand so now trying to work out what I actually do need/want.

My Build week was supposed to be last week, but the few thousand refreshes I made on myVW didn't reveal a VIN so it didn't happen... however on my first refresh of today I finally get to see a VIN. :bananadance2

Now I'll have to keep going back to it to make sure it doesn't go away :Nailbiting

@66tim99 your day has finally arrived! Have a great time picking up your beauty and remember, there's no such thing as too many pictures

More good news for those who are waiting.....ordered mine in late-February this year, and will be collecting it next week!

Well it all came good in the end, as it will for each one of you, with a little (or a lot) of patience. 13 months was time for plenty of dreaming and anticipation, and the drive to the detailer in Stevenage from the dealer in Crawley was a breeze, the ACC and Lane Assist feeling like it was on auto-pilot. The heated seats are dreamy too, it’s very comfortable. I can’t wait for a long trip, but it will be a while yet.
And so as I unwatch this thread I wish you all a speedy delivery and will see you on some brighter threads.
Good luck, and thanks for bearing with me and keeping my spirits up.
Cheers :cheers
