Parking - A small victory for Campervans

Our residents' parking scheme does not allow motorhomes or very big vehicles.
At the outset the county council agreed that this did not apply to campervans.
A couple of weeks ago they changed their mind (without telling anyone) and started giving campervans parking fines.

We challenged this and the council backed down and have agreed to update their rules to allow campervans - hurray!

Apparently this will apply to the whole of Lancashire

I don't think the parking men inspect the log books before issuing parking fines.

I am not saying we didn't have many legal arguments up our sleeve. However, thankfully it didn't come to that. A barrage of well-argued letters and a competent and diligent councilor fixed the problem.
