Question.....So when your California reaches build?

@Pete_Hampton

1. Could always order the next one?
2. Cool
3. Plus Land Rover, and I'm sure there are many more.
4. Yes he is, I think I'll speak to him again soon I'm having withdrawal symptoms (and so is Luke).
5. Fantastic
6. As is Vessel search (they have phone Apps too :embarrased)
7. Oh great...thanks for the reminder.

A) I ordered from Dealer on 29th Sept to secure & got build week 45 confirmed in under 3 weeks.....slick!
B) Build week 45 started November 6th and on the 16th November it was code 30 (in transit from factory).....slick!
C) Code 36 (arrived at Emden), 38(released to ship) & 39 (On ship)followed by the 19th November.....slick!
D) Code 40 (at port of entry, Sheerness UK) on 21st November (15 days total so far)...slick!
E) Still at Sheerness still at code 40 waiting for dispatch (code 60) 23rd November....not slick :sad
meanwhile the ship has got all the way back to Emden...

My experience with UK services continues to eat away at me as a weak link.

For a second there I read that as stop talking :D

The Massaker Highway is sat there too!! :thumb
It is, and I don't want to burst the bubble of excitement, but the time from being at the port to being on a moving ship seems to have gone up compared to what others have experienced recently. Mine's apparently been at the port for about 3 or 4 days, and no sign of it being assigned a ship. A very nice lady called Agatha is calling me back with an update every few days. Top service, and it means I don't have to be annoying Ismahil, top bloke though he is. :)

Just got an update from Luke myself....

"I'm very pleased to let you know Jason, that your California Ocean left The Factory in Hanover yesterday, and arrived at the port of exit in Emden today.

From here, it will be assigned to a ship which will take up to approximately 10 days. "

Friends, Romans, countrymen, [and Hyper Stalkers] lend me your ears;

I bring you good news - ours arrived at the dealership this week [Guildford], notice of registration received today, collection arranged for next week once the thorough pre-delivery checks are complete.

From arrival into Sheerness to be ready for our collection will be just 2 weeks.

Now, just how bright and shiny do you think the Acapulco Blue will be up close and for real?

Hang in there comrades.

JUST? did you say JUST??
They can be built, transported to port and shipped to the UK in that amount of time :D
What 's the hold up?

I'm hanging in there but there is a slightly annoying side to it.:Iamsorry

Anyway, you are doing very well with your patience, clearly better than me. Good news indeed.

What's the hold up?

I just have to guess that we are all probably in the queue just alongside, or just behind, heaps of Transporters, Kombis, Caddys, Crafters, Caravelles and the [quite] odd Amarok.

Where exactly do you make a nice cuppa in an Amarok? I just don't get it.

@Jason wallace They're just saying up to 10 days, so that you'll be pleased when it's just a few days. I wouldn't mind betting yours will be on the next ship to leave Emden, or on its next round trip which seems to be just about 3 days or so.

Damn...I wasn't looking for a reasonable answer.

Too many wealthy van drivers in Hampshire buying new vans maybe. Yours should only be up to a week different to our schedule.

Unreasonable possibilities;

Sniffer dogs at Sheerness have taken a particular interest in your California, tut tut.
Or
The SMG van transporter driver is doing multiple laps of the M25 due to a Sat Nav bug.
Or
Ismahil had his computer hacked by someone in Lada, so he gave you fake news.
Or
The Massaker Highway still has a Camper Van sized hole in it following that crash with a Chinese dredger

Take your pick!

Excellent possibilities all of them. However, I like to think that some kind of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory style thing is going on where my van has been singled out, and called back to the factory to have a load of optional extras fitted for no extra cost and some cash wedged into the glove box to say thanks for being in a nice customer....

OK I'll take the reasonable answer after all then.

In all the excitement I managed to miss ours being shipped - because apparently it’s now in the UK - it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

You've missed out on all that transcontinental hyper stalking - you obviously have better/wiser things to do.

Good news though - it won't be long now.

I like the sound of that - exactly how many buttons did you press on the Configurator? I will be checking the glove box on ours just in case.

Well I did press quite a few buttons, but there are plenty of things that had to be jettisoned from the spec for cost reasons! Maybe, with the right combination of clicks and button presses on the configurator, you can activate a no-cost option of a glove box full of cash. Got to be worth a go, as a distraction from stalking the whereabouts of the MAKASSAR HIGHWAY. Definitely worth checking your glove box when yours arrives. I shall be doing likewise. I live in hope.

Glad to see you spelt the name correctly. I got lazy in some posts...:thumb

News from our correspondent (Ismahil)...

I couldn't wait until next week to find out if my van had made it onto Makassar Highway, so I got on to live chat just now.

Good news (for me at least).... my van has been shipped and is showing status code 39. It was shipped on the 23rd of November and is currently on the Makassar Highway. :thumb

Brilliant!! I’ve just been on to him too to check on the production restrictions. Nothing known about steering wheels / wheels etc, just the 204 Manual restriction which wont apply to me. No build week yet either.
