Just getting a new California. We will need a Sat Nav and an iphone dock. What do memebers reccommend please? I have noted comments about the Kenwood so far.
Thank you.

I would download the TomTom app onto your iPhone and use it in a simple 'Kensington' iPhone holder / charger / adapter which can run off the 12v socket in the dashboard 'cupholder' point..

We're just using TomTom and aux port for iPod. Both "plugged" into a double 12v socket in the cupholder tray. I dare say we could have had something neater but hey ho.

Rns510, with MDI is very good, but more expensive than the kenwood. I've not used the kenwood, but am hearing good things. :thumb

Hi Just had the pioneer avic system fitted dedicated to VW absolutley superb easy to use many more features than the kenwood if you have the £100 interface option it even gives you parking sensor display and climatic diplay on screen also a lot cheaper than the Kenwood you will have to get it fitted by a specialist rather than a vw dealer but well worth it I had the sony rear veiw number plate mount camera (fantastic). :barmy
Is yours the AVIC-F9110BT?
Was looking at this recently alongside the kenwood certainly looks a lot cheaper.
Don't suppose you could post a video of it in action could you?
It's a lot of money to spend without seeing how it works first.

Ok had a quick look AVIC F9110BT £580, AVIC F9210BT £700 - what's the difference other than the 9210 being the new model i assume? They're both the proper VW group systems.
Is the newer version worth getting i wonder, any extra features? Can't really tell from looking online.
