Roof bellow 'stiffeners'

Thanks for your response but I don't understand how the roof can close if there isn't a join/hinge in the stiffener - can you explain please. Mine is broken in a couple of places

There is a material join/hinge at the halfway point I replaced the lower half

Yes, it works fine.
I rounded off the sharp corners then lowered the roof and folded the front outwards, then lowered it down to a few inches allowing me to withdraw the broken strip and slide in the replacement.

Looks like your link above is dead now but I found some 2mm x 50mm carbon strip of various lengths here if anyone needs any ...
