Hi Folks,
13th / 14th May.
I'm thinking of arranging a Meeting in May at the Sherwood Forest Holiday Park and I'm just trying to gauge numbers so I can confirm back to the site - Cost wise it'll be between £30/40 for the Friday and Sat Night - But I can confirm once I've have and idea on potential numbers with the site. EHU is included and the pitches also have aerial ports for the TV. http://www.sherwoodforestholidaypark.co.uk/sherwood-forest/photo-gallery.html
We stopped here last October and it was beautiful! A lovely site with a stream running through the middle of the site - and around some of the pitches. - (Just check out the reviews on line)
The site is very peaceful has surrounding woods for walks with the dog - good facilities and a clubhouse for us to make use of on the Saturday night, a park for the kids and the best camping shop I've seen on a campsite yet! I can arrange some food and a quiz etc for the Saturday night if anyone is interested.
Location wise - You have Sherwood forest steam railway pretty much next door - Sherwood forest visitors center 5 mins away (See the Major Oak). Sherwood pines (mountain biking), Amen Corner Karting and Rufford Abbey / Country Park Just down the road. A great location with lots around to do.
Just add your interest to this post and I'll see what I can do.
Cheers
Nick
