Show us your "Two Tone" California

Small world, my first and only trip in a glider was at the London Gliding Club at Dunstable in the late 1960’s. I was an engineering apprentice and we had various excursions, mostly to factories to see production, but Dunstable was a fun trip.

Glider flights are available in Colour Now GG !

Andy, They still take kids up, mine went when they were 10 & 12.

Susi, Nice fact about about Dunstable downs, I’ll be pinching that to Bore the kids with

Sounds like we could get an impromptu Cali meet going at Dunstable Downs or Ashridge

We have a few on here from around about Dunstable area

I really like the composition of this picture. The dark trees bring out the white top half. While the expanse of gravel is just the right colour to complement the gold bottom half. Very professional.
Thanks, pure chance. :)

My father was involved in the Weston-on the- Green flight which is why I knew about it, I hadn't heard about the Dunstable one.

Anyway another pointless fact, my first flight in a glider was at Dunstable aged about 14 I used to fly there quite a bit via an after school club, I don't think they are quite as adventurous these days.
Andy, did your father, or infact later yourself perhaps, have any further involvement in hot air ballooning after Weston-on-the-Green? Oh yes, you turned out right on another issue. Watford FC have made a one season trip to the Championship so that they can have a few games with old friends.

No sorry no further involvement in hot air ballooning at all to my knowledge. Not even sure why he was involved in that as his line of work was jets & rocket power.

Noted about just one season for Watford in the championship, still best to be realistic now & accept relegation is on the cards

Arnies's back and wrapped! Very happy with the transformation and glad I got the pillars black too.

This one stopped me in my tracks, it has a silver/lilac
bottom half wrap probably would've looked better if they did the
full van.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say so if @hotel california
wants to make his a bit less brown, here's an option.

Sorry @westfalia but that looks ugly,
mine is not brown .

The original papers states
color : lila / violet

i say it looks like aubergine
not a UK color i think .

did not chose it as it was a demo model
