Thanks for the reply. I will have a closer look at their positions. I remember GordonH saying that they should be DOWN, DOWN, UP, DOWN. I can say that I dont understand the significance of their positioning. But, many thanks for your suggestion.

Either way, yours are not currently correct. It isn’t always easy to see from a pic.
But down down up down makes sense.

Hopefully the final entry relating to this issue. The local garage says that the solar panel and hardware is working fine. Its producing 3-5 amps. In line with the previous contributor's suggestion here, the DIP switches are DOWN DOWN, DOWN and UP. As I now understand, having googled it, they relate to the different types of batteries. I guess its a case of leave well alone. I will keep GordonH's DIP suggestion up my sleeve. So, thanks to all who have helped me here again.
