T6 Oil Check

There really isn’t a great deal to go wrong with a turbo as a stand alone unit and they’re made by a supplier to VW. I’m guessing the problem is the oil feed to and from the engine which is the bit VW are responsible for and possibly the bit that has failed.
Hopefully you’ll get a decent diagnosis as opposed to just “vous avez une turbo nouveau. Au revoir Eengleesh Brexit”.

I agree. If the turbo bearings lose oil pressure they will fail in seconds. These things spin up to around an incredible 98000 rpm generating enormous stress on yhe bearings. Without pressurised oil it's goodbye turbo
