There's A storm coming

Well this weekend was far worse than last weekend down here in Cornwall!

HUGE swells, very high tides, one car got lifted off it's wheels on the beach, very high winds.

Been surfing daily until today for a week - rescued a guy in big waves on Friday which was a bit hairy. Fun but some calmer weather wouldn't go amiss!

We were going to go to Dungeness this weekend but decided to heed the weather warnings and went to South Wales instead. DOH! The forecast wasn't too bad but it turned out to be very hairy indeed.

We were having a lovely time at Rookesbury Park CC Site in Hampshire. It's in a natural hollow so the wind was no problem for us BUT some brain surgeon decided to run the sole power supply cable overland through a small forest. Wind makes trees sway, swaying trees pull down power line = no power to run the site. Caravan Club head office decrees "Health & Safety Emergency" and we all have to leave the site by noon Tuesday. Mate we were there with says "Rowan Park at Bognor is just down the road" so we agreed to regroup there. Nice site but bloody hell Olli how come all your vans are so straight, the young 'uns in Bognor drive like they don't need to see tomorrow. Maybe I'm just getting old. Also while Rowan Park is nice it's too near the dual carriageway and having a roundabout at both ends and a Maccy Ds and KFC as well it attracts the racers who've clearly watched The Fast & Furious too many times and seem keen to let everyone know how many decibels a kitted up Saxo VTR with a 5inch "zorst" can emit. Hearing cars banging off the limiter at 11:30pm gets a bit boring after a while.

I guess wind is not that strong if it's still not reached you >1.5 years after the last update to this thread Victor ;)
