VW tow bar 3 bike rack

Has anyone tried the actual VW tow bar bike rack and does it clear the tailgate when tilted?

No but the Atera DL definitely fits on my T6 on the detachable tow ball and the tailgate opens.

I read a note on a VW site stating that, depending on the bike, it may be necessary to swivel the handle bars by 90° to clear the tailgate when tilted. This is also true of my Altera DT3 when carrying a MTB with wide handlebars in the rail closest to the tailgate.

Thanks for that and yes the Uebler does appear to be the same. There’s one for sale on FB market place which was bought for a Tiguan but part numbers are the same for the Cali. I’ve not got my Cali yet so can’t try it out. I think I’ll take a punt and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again.

This certainly clears the tailgate, and folds for storage. Really happy with it.
