sorry don't like the front one at all. I thought solid 'roo bars' had been banned on pedestrian safety grounds as well.

We fitted some to the front of our L200 and found out that our insurance was invalid, I ended up getting insured with a specialist 4xx insurer. Many insurance companies will not cover vehicles fitted with anything metal at the front due to the damage they can do in an accident with a predestrian.

Not many people are aware but you even need to inform your insurance company if you have side bars fitted.

Oh,Forgot to mention that I like the look of the chrome bar on the front as it's not over stated

Alan

When I had my side bars fitted and had the van lowered Comfort asked for a photo of the van to keep on record, there was no increase in the premium but they did say that they must be informed as these are both classed as a modification and in the event of a claim the underwiters could of used it as a get out for not paying out.

Not classed as "Bull Bars" as do not project beyond the bumper. TUV approved. Insurance company happy. Side bars provided and fitted by VW as an accessory from their brochure, so all legal and above board.
I like it , think it finishes off the front, matches the sidebars. Got to make it stand out from the crowd. :hello

I like the side bars but the metal bar at the front is not my cup of tea sorry.

:thumb Like it, looks well made and like you said "stands out from the norm"

We've done some fairly proper off roading in ours and the front has never grounded so not sure it's really necessary. The side bars get a good bashing though...

what am I supposed to think?

Would someone give me an explanation?

** had another look and answered my own question

The chrome bits ...

do you intend going around hitting things?

Only if they hit me first. :shocked
