It is quite thin spongy material. Think its supposed to be a bathmat and has non-slip surface underneath. No washing instructions but saw it on another VW forum and apparently the person who posted has washed it on a low temperature and it was fine.

It's King Cole chunky and they were knitted partly at home partly away!
