What have you done with your California today?

after what has been a highly traumatic year.
And do you know what GJ?
It seems so many people I know are not sorry to see the back of 2018 with overwhelming amounts of bad / sad news that have come their way.....
Remarkably biased compared to an average year all round.

Back home tomorrow night and on Saturday he becomes my camper and my sister's tow car as the pair of us head off with her caravan for a week's rest in Kent

Dear GrannyJen

Great to read some good news after all. Wish you a nice week with your sister and I hope you can start/restart 2019 in a good way!

Enjoy and best wishes!

@2020 freedom and @sapto

As some people know I have an autistic son. He lived in America, came home two years ago, was a nightmare whilst he was living with us and at the end of 2017 returned to the USA.

Last November he disappeared. He had been living rough just outside Tucson, Arizona. Due to being autistic he has no empathy for others and is totally unaware of how communication helps and how lack of it causes distress to others.

Az state police were helpful but ineffective so I hired a firm of private investigators. On the evening after Mum's funeral I received an email to say he had been found alive and almost well, Yesterday he contacted me and I now have communication back again.

Hopefully 2019 is going to be a less difficult year :)

A period of great sadness but a lifetime of good times to look back on. Hope 2019 brings peace and some good news.

Thank you x

It was good news in the end. Mum had been in a lot of pain throughout 2018, deteriorating slowly, a blessed release at the end :)

Fitted a stop start memory module so it now remembers the last setting which is off of course. What a dreadful invention stop start is.

Put the seat covers washed on again. Drove a small round. Enjoyed the driving and went back home.

Fitted some Heko deflectors. Havent had a chance to test the functionality but the fit and finish are fine.

At long last I got round to fitting my bounty from Calicap

  • The Drawers took all of 15 mins to fit
  • The extending rear tray 10 mins
  • The shelf 30 seconds
  • Wardrobe shelves 4 hours!!! What a ball ache they were

Initially I was a little disappointed with the drawers as a bit of space is lost. Upon rationalizing the contents however, things are now much easier to gain access to. They're as good as the ones in my own kitchen, complete with a nice soft close action!

The adjustable height of the shelves in the wardrobe will certainly allow a better use of the space for what we need

The quality and workmanship on all of the products is excellent. They're expensive but you really get what you pay for.

Excuse if you done so previously- but would you mind posting where you got drawers and boot extending rear tray - they both look fab:thumb

Nick, I love the cushion - hedgehogs are so sweet :)

We feed them in the garden, in fact we have one what hasn't hibernated as yet still visits every night even though we have had a few good frosts.

That kitchen shelf looks super useful - is it securely attached without any screws? Does it rattle around when driving at all?
