What have you done with your California today?

1st Monday after ownership and I’ve been testing out remote working in it.
All very good, plentiful coffee and a hot lunch too.

Biggest challenge were the ducks quacking whilst on conf calls.
Next challenge will be to find new locations with good mobile coverage or free WiFi.
Looking fwd to a Thursday eve by the coast, half day working Friday and then in the sea with a body board in the afternoon. ‘Board meeting’ :)
I like your style!

Currently relaxing in our Cali on a small site in Farringdon nr Exeter

Gave it a good clean and a bit of TLC only to find some factory paint damage that had been covered up (only spotted this nearly 4 years on since collection) :headbang

Fitted new N/S Rear View Mirror covers. Caught on a hedgerow in a Devon lane. What fun. VW do you have to make them that tricky?

Wait until you need to replace the entire wing-mirror.
Had a very close shave in France with a Great White a few years ago who wanted to drive on my side and his side of the road...o_O

Washed the Cali in&outside , lots of fly's banged there head into the bumper&front windscreen when we came home from France few weeks ago.....
Getting ready for next week trip to Hannover factory visit:thumb

Clean outside and have all the roof gullies a good clean out. Inside tomorrow after our 15 nights trip to France.

Finally Turfed out everything from van, only put back stuff I know we’ve actually used over last 2 n half years. Replaced smallish bbq with a cadac (takes up half the space now). And now have van ready for the off - just clothing needs adding and drive away if needed.

Rainy day out was an ideal opportunity to build the Nintendo Labo motorbike controller. Amazing cardboard version of Lego. Even has sprung throttle. IMG_20190529_202127.jpgTook about 2 hours. Built for kids for great for us grown-ups too.

Nice! I saw you were thinking about getting that one. Would be very interested to know how you find it. Looks fantastic.
