What have you done with your California today?

12 mile walk on the Leeds Liverpool Canal just outside Skipton with fab pork pies from Stanforth butchers which were worth the half hour wait.
It’s lovely around Skipton, Grassington area

We did a local canal walk this morning, drove to Christleton walked to Chester, passed on the pies though ;)

Too hot, you’ll get a right old sweat on.
33 degrees in my van right now.
Pour yourself an ice cold gin.
Don’t drink very much so even a sniff of the bar maid’s apron gets me tiddly (I’m a right Larry Lightweight) so think it’ll just be a drink of squash!

Another must do for today: find the little Ikea Sunnersta metal shelf I bought months ago when Bigted was trying to make some hanging brackets for me. They didn’t quite work so he’s put a lot of effort in to getting a solution that does. They arrived yesterday and look pretty good. I know that tray is somewhere, just not where I thought it’d be!

If you've not done it today, the best time to do it tomorrow will be between 6 AM and 8 AM. I think the recommended temperature is 18 degrees C :upsidedown anytime before or after and the tape will not stick :Nailbiting:Nailbiting :D

Fistral, Pentire Rd , overlooking the Golf course. (used to park my T2 overlooking the GCand Beach )
I suspect Soulstyle has ensconced himself a little further back from Pentire Rd, you can see the public toilet located at Pentire in his photo ?

I think the glue promoter dried out a bit quick. The sponge is so small. Hoping the glue will stick fine. Taking it slow and “glowing” a bit. Nearly finished getting the Velcro on.

I wasn’t camping, I was parked up in my camper van, officer, (the big whites stuck out a lot more back then)
Longest I stayed in one go, at Pentire, was a week, none of this modern hook up and facilities rubbish.
Wash in the Sea, shove the boards in the pop top bunk, get out early, come back late, respect the locals and they’ll respect you.

That was back in the day though!

Also using a duffle bag as a window bag. Primitive, but it gets the job done. 8 euros. C4213964-FFAD-4280-86F2-16D3CD197AA0.jpeg

You lucky b####rd Looks like Fistral and Crantock to me.

I think you and @Perfectos know your Cornish vistas...;)

Worth Noting.
The council have started ticketing vans in the mornings at South Fist. Wether they camped or not. You can’t park a van on that stretch until after 9am.
Which is pretty annoying, even for the local crew who predominantly drive vans for work etc...
Not sure how these laws can be legal to exclude a vehicle on type. It’s a bit unfair.
