Yes it was. I don't think the prices are a reflection on them, more a case of VW expensive stuff and the price that most 'brand' dealers charge these days

Sure, they have to pay for the shiny glass showrooms somehow . They were beyond useless last time I used them a few years ago for some basic warranty work but I know they have changed hands so wondering how they were generally really.

I highly recommend Nutexa Frictions for rotors and pads. I swapped mine out for these and the are very well made. Low dusting and work great! And I’ve got a heavy van.

Replaced rear brakes. Bit worn. 130 quid all in. DIY fitted. Hardest part was getting the calipers to return far enough. Symptoms were juddering brake pedal when braking from high speeds for anyone that has this.

yes. the pistons, inside the calipers. if you were to replace one, they're called brake calipers.

Hi Cassidy, thanks for the words of approval!
The sliding door of the cupboard has seen better days and my wife fancied a couple of shelves, so I made a couple of cardboard pattens and the cut the shapes in plywood, with ply supports and cross piece front and rear.
The pegs are slightly shortened dowels with a bit of elastic string between, we’ve just got back from France and it worked a treat!

Fitted a new third brake light and a drivers step light. Added helicopter take to the step light to try and prolong the life.

Collected van from body shop. A few not nice scratches now repaired and looks like new. Door, side panel and corner of bumper. It is also now a very clean van, it was dirty when it went in due to last weeks rain.

Stone chips have made the varnish to come off. As is the top layer of my headlights.

Stones are a nuisance and it is amazing now unlucky one can be to drive down a road just after it has been resurfaced with lots of loose stones.

Can highly recommend getting a good paint job, we have used the same company before and always been pleased. Now I need to touch up some stone chips on the bonnet and try to stay away from other vehicles in car parks. Even when I try to go as far away as possible someone will park next to me. However the damage on the side was my fault, I caught the corner of my garage door. The bumper is plastic so was not too worried about getting that repaired it has been scratched for about 2 years.
