Wind deflectors? Yes or No

I have tried to find the receipt but sorry, not sure.
possibly it was eBay as many on there.

If you do a search for, ‘T6 Heko’ loads of suppliers will come up at around £25 delivered. These Team Heko‘S were really easy and straight forward to fit.
I have had them on a year now, really pleased. They resolved my condensation issues when sleeping on the lower bed. I just wind each window down 1” and still remain secure from any rain.

Thinking of buying a set of Dubflecta sleek wind deflectors. Hoping they will stop the drips/torrent of water that ends up coming in the window when you pull away with window open after it's been raining, particularly when the awning is fitted. Can anyone confirm if they'll do that?

We’ve got the Dubflecta deflectors find them very useful, certainly don’t suffer with torrents of water coming in the window. Don’t think anything stops drips completely but to be honest we’ve never really noticed. The Dubflecta’s are easy to fit & look nice.

Nothing will stop rain or water from awning coming in if window more than max 1/4 open.

Nope. They go in the padded bit the window runs in.
I had wind deflectors for a while, they were good for stopping drips when parked up in the rain, but ended up taking them off after a few months as the extra wind noise annoyed me

Thank you, interesting to hear your comment regarding an increase in wind noise, that would certainly put me off.
Still undecided on fitting deflectors, many pros and cons.

It makes me chuckle when people ask, "should I fit Dubflecta sleek or retro wind deflectas?" Apart from looks, I doubt if it makes any difference at all. Fitting the sleek versions to a two tonne brick isn't going to make any discernable difference to performance or MPG. All I can tell you is if they are fitted correctly, they don't leak and allow good ventilation which is the whole point of having them.
Dubflectas can cause an obstruction to the closing windows at first but if you assist the window to overcome this resistance and to fully close then leave it closed for a couple of days, they will be fine. BTW, that advice works on both thicknesses of glass fitted.

Thanks Borris, do they help when driving in rain to either keep the front side windows clear and or stop the window and mirror switches getting soaked if you open the window?

The type that fit inside make it very difficult to insert the Remo vent grill as it means that there is a deflector and metal vent in the channel making for no space for the glass to fully close.
Stick on type obviously the solution

Can honestly say we never encountered any obstruction at all on closing the windows

Is this something you would recommend?
Do most of you brilliant people use such things?

Yes, you can open the windows slightly and the rain doesn't usually come in. I can't say that that would always be the case under all rainy conditions but they really do a great job of giving ventilation whilst keeping the rain out.

Heko are a different shape to the Dubflecta Sleek so it depends what look you prefer. Compare the shape of the ones in post #82 (Heko) to these (Dubflecta Sleek) which we are very happy with by the way.

I have the Dubflcta Retro. They allow you to open the window enough to get some air (on the move or at night) without any rain coming in, just make sure the top of the window isn't below the bottom of the Dubflecta.
I don't think they increase wind noise, you get that anyway with the window open.

I want to buy some new Duflecta sleek deflectors for our present van (left the others on the old van when we sold it). I bought some at Christmas, but we managed to break one before installing them and haven't had any luck trying to stick it back together again.
However, I've tried emailing and ringing Dubflecta a few times but had no response. I'm reluctant to put through an order (through Paypal) in case they've gone out of business. They're not very good at communication at the best of times but this is worse than usual. Has anyone had recent contact?
