Our generation in Europe enjoyed to live in the wonderful time where we not only be able to do what we could afford (or even more than we could afford). Traveling, shopping meeting people ... the list is endless.

A lady in a small village in Bavaria mentioned on the news the other day that it is a strange feeling that we've been told not to do things. It doesn't matter if we want to do those things or not, but now we can't.

For me this statements sums up how many of us feel. We all live in a political security that ensure that we have the right of movements, work, education and consumption etc. That is gone now and that is scary (on top of the health related scare).

Let's hope that this pandemic won't last too long, that society and the economy will recover in a healthy and responsible way. Maybe we can learn something out of all this.

I’ve learnt how to wash my hands properly

Does anyone think that it is really possible to
completely isolate, each week there will be a few transactions
and i didn't really realise how much i touched my face until i became
aware of it
and now my hands are all dry because i wash them constantly.

We’re on day 11 and have managed to touch no one, had no one in the house and have not been out of the garden - a bit tricky now that there are no supermarket delivery slots though !!

A relative of mine sent me a photo and list of the wartime ration that one person would receive for a week. Let’s just say obesity would be a distant memory if we had that in this day and age

I just got an Amazon delivery. (Panic buying coffee).
Open door, pick up package, close door with elbow. Unwrap package and put cardboard at the bottom of pile for kindling. (Virus can live for three days on cardboard) Wash hands. Have a cup of coffee.

our amazon packages are dropped on the drive, picked up with disposable gloves or kitchen roll (yes we have some) and quarantined in the shed for 3 days! I think I might be going mad, but then we are a pair of vulnerable oldies, one with underlying health issues.

I have asthma and kidney failure so to me anything they do to stop me dying is ok. Very worried but isolating as much as possible. Think the next crisis will be when we can return to normal and the next round starts because people think it's finished and get complacent.

I’m in the asthma club but mine is well managed so I’m not as concerned as a couple of mates of mine who have asthma a lot worse than me. I find myself on the key worker list but as I say to mrs gas I’m worth more dead than alive to which she replied, sleep with one eye open babe

We live in a huge naive fantasy, that obviously couldn't last long. Take even the idea of endless economic growth. I have grown up in the Soviet Union and was always amazed how naive some western ideas are. Don't get me wrong, it sucked incredibly there. But the direction the modern western world is recently taking is another ultra-left extreme.
I am seriously surprised how Europe is falling apart under such a threat with each country shutting borders and only caring about themselves. Most governments prohibited face protection and disinfection exports to other EU countries. Our government is now talking about "saving" Czech doctors from Italy.
Norway has ordered all "non-permanent" residents to lease the country. And there are lots of different nationality family members there from Finland, Sweeden who didn't register as permanent residents.

We have been living in a segregated house for the last week. Hubby was brought back early from a skiing trip in Italy and told he had to self isolate for 14 days. We have not been within 2-3m of each other since before he set off. We are each living in our own different rooms. It’s not fun for either of us. I am allowed out and can still go to work, he has to stay in and work from home. Must be dreadful for those families who all have to remain in the house together, they must be going stir crazy.
