Just a thought, does anyone actually use their spare wheel? or even inspect the tyre?

A bit extreme, when I imported my T4 from Germany 3 years ago it passed customs and Gov transport inspection, spare looked new and fully inflated.

I dropped the spare 1 year later to give it a bit paint, the new tyre was not new by a long way, perished and about to explode, date code was 1999, the van was built July 1999, so I guess it was the original tyre.

Point being tyres have a due date like everything else and with weather becoming hotter rubber & plastics deteriorate faster, any tyre older than 5 years needs inspected regularly.

Yes I do. In fact I had to change a flat once. And I took the original tyre off after 3 years (45000 km) so I only had to buy 1 new tyre. Fitted the best worn tyre on the spare wheel.
I blow the spare the same time as I blow the other 4 tyres.
Or am I the only one who does that here?

First trip since the chaos started. Brilliant to get back out and about. Alert but not at home.

No.

Looks like the Hawk put a target dot on the back of your van!
This was the last of the 9 to land, 5 dots on target!

A real serendipity moment. Noticed them practicing as we passed Lincoln on the ring road, kept getting glimpses as we headed up and past Scampton. Pulled into a side road near the end of the runway and got out with 30 seconds to spare before diamond 9 went directly overhead us at low height, watched them do the end of show burst manoeuvre and then turn back towards us, each landing in turn. Often pass Scampton on way to K's mum, nice to have a trip highlight. Just chores to do now....

We used to watch them every year at Fowey Regatta, stood on the top of Polruan. They would fly low down the estuary so at times watching from our position you were either level or higher than them, absolutely fantastic but unfortunately no more now.

Were you allowed to go to Zeebrugge?
I hope you had a great time there.
You can move in order to sport, ask all the kite surfers who come every day; and as we live in Bruges, it"s kind of "our" beach :thumb

I was having a bike tour this afternoon, and the beach and dike of Heist/Duinbergen was overcrowded, less than 1,5 meter apart from each other .
Wasn't fun to drive by.

And I was of course not serious by asking what you were doing there. I just recognised the place where you put your T4. :thumb
