i have had several vans ranging from T2 to my current T6, by far the worst wavers are T6 onwards

keep on waving, I’m regularly shamed by my Fam when I wave and don’t get a response

New Ocean collected yesterday. I went for the sport pack that doesn’t come with a spare wheel. So I bought a wheel from eBay and the carrier & spare safe from the club shop a while ago. Fitted those this morning then popped to B&Q, bought a sheet of MDF and made some shelves for the wardrobe. They’re not fully finished and were just in to check them before I start to stick the supports in and buy something to cover the exposed edges.Total cost of £18.95!

Yes, bought some 9mm MDF (6mm felt a bit too flexible). Was originally thinking I’d leave them as exposed MDF and just get something to finish off/protect the exposed edge but then found some sticky back felt on Amazon which worked out really well. The edging was also from Amazon, it’s the type of rubber trim you put on the edges of car doors but has a wider range it can clip over. Was pretty straight forward if you have a few basic tools.

Spent the morning down at @BMVS-Camper-Hire had ST-XA coilovers and 15mm spacers fitted, gloss black grills fitted, (bought from Travelinlite) and TVS DSG reprogram. Completely transformed the drive!

Bognor have been so helpful with advice. Responding to many emails and calls from me over the last 10 months! Highly recommend them and their work

FYI, I've made them also of MDF 10mm three years ago, four of them. Replaced them this year with plywood 6,5mm , saved 1,8Kg in total. The 6,5mm plywood is as sturdy as 10mm mdf, considering I only put well stuffed packing cubes... and gained 3,5mm on each shelf compartment. I've "sandpapered" the edges for a very smooth finish.

Made a trolley to make bench removal a one person job.

Bench rocks onto a dolly trolley in van, then slides onto the white mdf sheet/ cut down pallets. Trolley wheels on the bottom. All the timber was scrap.

The bench seat moves forwards almost to the front seats ( with the front floor rail covers and load anchor on sliding door side removed )

You need to lock the bench moving lever in the up ( or bench sliding) position. There is a hole in the side of the bench to do this, use a screwdriver or rod.

When the bench is in the right position it can be lifted 3cm or so out of the floor rails. To turn it I just rock it forwards so I can put a trolley underneath and then spin it around. It then can be rolled to the tailgate. At that point I removed the trolly letting it slide onto my palletwood creation.

I just thought it was an easier way to put it in the garage than lifting 90kg of bench in and out.

And why? Collecting large objects from my mother in laws house. Again....

Yesterday was Day 8 of 10 day Skye & NC500 - stopped at Dornoch for night/day - didn’t realise how “open” site was (didn’t do our research properly) beautiful afternoon so put out awning. After couple of hours without warning terrific gust blew across field - awning appeared to bend in on itself - think it’s ok no damage that we can ‘see’.
Absolutely blown away with places we’ve seen. Sorry no pictures can’t work out transfer from phone.

Going to Hampshire today to meet another VWCC member but last night drove to Waddesdon Manor (local to us), to see the Tears for Fears concert. REALLY good gig and recommended if you can grab tickets at any of the forthcoming venues.

During camperjam it showed that our leisure battery was finally dead. Probably the original battery, so 9 years old, its not do e bad. It wouldn't keep our fridge going over night.
So today I finally fitted a new battery. Took about an hour to do, trickiest part was mounting the seat back into the correct position. Will give it a charge and see how we get on.

Bought a Carista and changed a few settings. Got rid of the “doors open” constant beeping and changed the wing mirrors to fold on one press of the fob.

Yes it's a beach. There was no obvious date stamp on the battery to verify its age. We have owned it 5 years this summer, so biggie about changing it.
