“Roof is Open” fault 1000, but roof is definitely closed

The control panel isn’t the heart of the roof control, there is a roof ecu in the middle. I think the sensors is the next logical step from what I can see from your issue.

VCDS is of no use in problems with the Control Panel and Leisure electronics etc.
Have you checked the Control Panel Diagnostic menu and cleared any diagnostic codes?

I’ve checked the control panel & there are no diagnostic faults. I still get the chimes warning that the roof is up when pulling away, so I’ve changed the variant to “no roof” to stop this. Other than that, nothing.
4 new sensors ordered today, so I’ll give it another go when they arrive and be extra careful during the install. If that doesn’t work it might be off for professional attention.

If not I would suggest Kernow Transporters in Cornwall.
 
Reset the time,date on the panel? Otherwise it does odd things when been unplugged
