California Club Meet Gloucestershire Meet April 20th - 22nd

Just stopped in Llandovery on our way to Rhandirmwyn, which I think is a mobile black spot; so just taking this opportunity to say thanks to the organisers for a great meet and to everyone else for being such friendly Cali guys & gals (& pooches!):thumb

See you on the next one :)

hi guys, I've seen this too late ! Spoke this morning about a ladder which I will order but can I get this code ?
Also if I ordered a Ridge Monkey now would it get to me before I leave for Scotland on Friday ?
Bill

Guess only Nick from the shop can give answer on the free delivery .
But as you where here at the meet it would be no problem imo.
Try and contact him , or @Vale46 or @Martin maybe can help.

Thanks to everyone for making this such a great weekend and being so kind to Jess, our overactive border collie, on her first trip out in the Cali. Especial thanks to Wim for the badges, Loz for reprogramming the Cali to make it more idiot proof and a massive thanks to Rosie for saving Jess when she unbelivably managed to get her leg trapped in the spring of the awning strap. We met so many fantastic people and have a host of new ideas and places to visit I would say to anyone considering going to a club meet, do not hesitate, go go go, you will not regret it. That is unless it is snowing :)

If i lived in the UK (might concider moving) i probally joined every meet ! Such a nice bunch of (funny/strange ) people we all are....
:D
Now i think 4 left on the field , we moved to a hard standing pitch and @daz60 has arrived ...a bit to late;)

It was a great meet this weekend, many thanks to @SimonB and also @Speleo62 for bringing the Coleman shelters. Thanks also to @hotel california for making the journey up to us, it was nice to see you again Wim

We are hoping to use this site again for another meet in the future especially now we have found out a function room can also be made available to us.

Sent you a PM Bill :thumb

Just got home after stopping off for lunch on the way. Great meet at Slimbridge with everyone joining in the social event on Saturday evening. A good number for such an event - not too many and not too few. Sharing tips about our Calis as well as travel, some great weather, even if we did have dodge a few rain drops to stop them diluting our wine. I think a great time had by all.
Special thanks to @SimonB for organising all us free sports and to @Speleo62 for loan of shelters. It was great to make new friends and to meet up again with older ones. Also thanks to @hotel california for the name badges -smashing idea we thought and to @MattBW for the bottle openers - can't have too many of those!
At the moment we are not certain if we will make the next two meets (Skipton and Tenby) but we will be at Romo in Denmark in September and Bolsover in November (more detail on the Bolsover meet later). In the meantime hope you have some smashing Cali times and we look forward to seeing you all again later in the year.:):)

Thank you all for coming and being such a friendly lot. We have had a great time and it has been nice meeting old friends and making new ones.
The campsite enjoyed having us there and said they'd be happy to have us again, I'm never sure if they realise that a camper van meet isn't necessarily a bunch of tanned and long haired surfers.
If any of you want to put pictures on their Facebook page Nikki at reception would love to post them. There are some smashing ones on this thread now. This is their email address info@tudorcaravanpark.co.uk
See you again at the next one

Simon

Just to say a BIG thank you for making us welcome on our 2nd outing, we had a great time and enjoy meeting and making new friends.
Martin, Simon thanks for taking the time to organise, Nick my wife (Chris) said thank you for showing me more things to buy :bananadance2
Loz thanks for the updating Mosse, like the big MPH reading used it all the way home.
Alfie & Jack ( the whippets ) had a great time and are now knackered, so will sleep for the rest of the evening and most of tomorrow.
Never knew of Slimbridge even though I have been going to Dursley for work for over 25years, will now be popping back from time to time for a coffee and bacon butty at the cafe.
See you all at Tenby. :cheers

Just got home after a long drive. We both had a wonderful weekend. Lovely site, lovely friends, lovely Calis, lovely weather, lovely thunderstorm, lovely time. Thanks to Simon and all for organising this meet. Looking foward to seeing you all again soon.

Jess was great and I’m sure that she will love Cali life

Looks wonderful.
How many Calis in the rallly field ?

There were 40 eventually. Plus 5 or 6 on the rest of the site and some more at a campsite not far away. Tudor Park, our campsite, had the full signs up and wasn't taking any bookings until Sunday evening onwards.

Much more quiter than prevoius mornig ....wonder where all those pop-tops gone;)
Still no rain since that thunderstorm on sathurday so made very good choise to stay the extra night , we will heading of also soon to wander arround to the south-west coast , ending our first few days and the meet in the UK and staying arround until the 1st May.

Thanks to Simon and Martin for organising the meet, it was great meeting new faces and many thanks to those who sponsored Chris for his paddle next week.
