We have an 07, T5 2.5tdi.
On a 'run', I have had over 49 mpg (according to onboard computer), loaded.
If we're 'tatting' about, ie local driving, lights, gear changes etc, then I reckon on or around 33-38 mpg (unloaded).

However, I owned an Alphard(3.0 Auto Petrol) before my Cali, and if I was 'really lucky', I might get 24mpg on a run.....
Around Town, be no more than 18mpg.....

I find that baffling. 49mpg showing on the average reading?
If that’s right then there’s something very wrong with my engine.

That can’t be true though as the Cali and my Golf Gti had the same brakes for 15 years. Golf still had them when I sold it.
