so I think this relates to Euro 6 engines which stop charging the main battery to lower emissions. On campers this can mean the leisure battery is sucked dry by the engine, or at the least isn’t charged. You can buy a bit of kit to ensure this doesn’t happened (maintains the draw on the alternator). I’m thinking this button does the same, and is intended for when the vehicle is being driven. I’d like to know for sure - because I haven’t got it!There is a YouTube video by California Chris where he explains the dashboard functions. In the video he points out a Battery Boost button in the lower centre of the dash. I gathered from his explanation that it was used to charge the batteries when standing, but maybe it also functions when driving.
Does your van have this button? If not maybe it can be retrofitted - it is probably only a simple connection to the ECU.
