To wave, or not to wave, the continued question?

Only had our Cali three months, and not many waves so far. The best by far was near Amesbury, an identical 6.1 Ascot Grey with black awning waiting to pull out onto the main road we were on - so they were looking for a gap, and we were watching the junction. We both waved at each other like mad men/women. A little bit of joy that!

When I had Splitties/Bays yes.

Feels a bit daft in a T6, mainly as there are so many about, Calis, conversions etc.

In the depths of West Yorkshire there are perhaps fewer of us around, so when we see each other a wave still seems the done thing. If you realise in time! I imagine if you waved at every Cali on the nc500 you’d get repetitive strain injury . As an ex t2 owner I still do my ‘dub’ wave at bay windows from my ancient volvo and often get a wave back.

I never notice when driving. My wife often says “The man in that van waved at you”, but I’m too busy concentrating on the road ahead. I’ll usually see the van but don’t notice the driver waving until it’s gone past.

I’m happy to talk to other Cali owners on campsites.

Living in Cornwall where every other vehicle is a ‘Vee Dubbya’ surf van I would end up waving until my arm fell off! :D

However, if we see another green/white Cali………. It’s waves all the way! (in recognition of another owner with a similar discerning taste :))
