Hi all, well I've been looking out over the past few months for a suitable cali, and while the one in this add isn't quiet what I'm after, I'm curious about two items fitted to it.

Firstly it looks like a lockable safe fitted beside the rear seat, has anybody sen one of these before or know if they are useful?
Secondly, the seat with the portapoti inside. Is this a genuine VW/Westfalia item? Is it fitted to the floor seat rails? It looks quiet large and may take up a lot of space. Again, has anyone used one or know if they are worthwhile?

Toilet box is from a type 3 Westfalia I believe, has leather straps to fasten to seat frame if I remember correctly

I've never seen the safebox in any other photos of a westy.

Safe is genuine Westfalia accessory and I'd love one; it fills a really wasted space. My mate has one in his 2.4. lovely looking van on genuine BBS alloys - I've just bought a set for mine - really hard to find.

Okay, cheers for the info, yea it looks like a great idea for that space at the side of the seat, is it bolted to the van for security?

Prices seem a little on the high side, but indeed they have some nice stock...
I think if you're planning to import from Netherlands, then any additional benefits of buying from a dealer (but perhaps paying extra for the privilege), would be lost anyway - I would guess that you'd have still to take care of the import/export formalities too. In that case I'd say don't give up on the private sellers (and dealers) on the online trading sites mentioned earlier in this thread...

Yes that is true regarding a warranty etc, but i'm just trying to keep my options open and find as many trustworthy dealers as possible.
Yes its also worth keeping private sellers in mind too.
