Made a shelf for the little TV / DVD player for the kids to watch a film when away. Made from MDF that fits above the cab and allows the TV to stand. Can be watched from up or downstairs. Stores behind the front seats and acts as a divider for luggage in the cabin.

+1 for Batman Lego Movie!

Thanks. Especially the lobster in microwave scene! Keeps the kids entertained whilst I'm tidying up/organising the bedding/making the food etc.

New campsite 326 miles further On towards Italy. 50' from the river, and a lot warmer.

Looks nice WG.

Preparation for me.
Check of everything and test run with bikes.

Pleased with the way the Atera Strada works. No issues with clearance. Taking only two bikes on this trip so using the back two slots.

Are you going on the Continent? If so the Diagonal strips should be Downwards to the Continental Offside, so you need to turn the Sign 90o clockwise in Europe.

Was just looking it up for which side to show and didn't know about the facing down bit

Would hate to give someone a get out if they ploughed in the rear.

In Spain the warning board must have:
• 3 red/ 3 white hatched, reflective stripes
• a size of 50 x 50 cm
• been manufactured from aluminium
• 4 eyelets for attachement

In Italy the warning board must have:
• 5 red/ 4 white hatched, reflective stripes
• a size of 50 x 50 cm
• been manufactured from aluminium
• 4 eyelets for attachement

So:-
Spain

That's EU consistency for you. Can't even agree on the number of strips.

If you are a Foreign registered vehicle then I don't think they are that concerned, in either country, on the actual number of strips.
Mind you in Italy I've seen many vehicles from many countries with no board and that includes quit a few Italian vehicles.

Do you need one for France, and if so how many stripes do they want?

Moved onto Switzerland via the Simplon Pass. Spectacular.

Now pitched up here. Swim in the campsite pool that is fed from a Glacier, I think, and now a nice cold beer.

Just brought it back from a brilliant weekend at Carfest South. Loads of Cali's in the 'campervan and caravan' parking. Had almost as much fun wandering round admiring the vans as I had at the festival :thumb

And now in Southern Germany.
Fantastic 4 pool Lido run by local town, 50m from camp entrance. 2€ entrance fee.
Going to cycle to the River Rhine tomorrow using my Teasi SatNav.

I can recommend a trip to the Hasenhorn coaster at Todtnau if you have time. It's about 1 hour from you and a blast.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the weather is too good to spend time driving, so just cycling and the Lido, but I've made a note for next time.

Well on our way home after almost 4 weeks. At a Municipal Site in St Quentin, just over 1 hr 45 mins from the Euroshuttle Terminal. 1200 shuttle tomorrow.
The site is next to a canal and Swimming pool in the grounds of a YHA.

Took Clare to Port Solent to buy waterproof sandals!

They look about as waterproof as a fishing net, but maybe a field test will prove me wrong...

LOL!

I don't know what it is with the people at Keen - but they are determined to say that shoes with massive holes in are waterproof. There is a standing joke in our house about my 'waterproof shoes', that's just what i call them now.
