Is it easy enough to turn parking mode off?

Yes, there is an On/Off option in the setup menu.
Nextbase only recommend setting it to On if using a hardwired power supply kit.

We’ve got a Blackvue front and rear camera. Apart from observing really bad driving, we’ve so far been fortunate in not needing to recover footage. TBH I should check that the memory card is still okay more often. We had one fail early on.

I went and checked it yesterday afternoon - and the SD card was unreadable! I’ve swapped it out for the original BlackVue card and it’s back working. One of the issues I’ve always had is the ability to connect to the camera with my phone (I haven’t gone for the cloud option). It makes it a bit of a chore each time , but I know I should do it more often.

Any issues with the Parking mode and the battery? I know it will pick up motion and start recording, worrying that if I get this one it’ll drain the battery

No problems with parking mode been hard wired for about twelve months very easy to wire in rooting wires very easy and it’s wired to the fuse board you have spare fuses
Which have no fuse in and are on permanent
