Completely agree. £350 for a couple of extra years of peace of mind for repairs is good value.
I don't think it covers VW Assist as well though, you have to arrange breakdown cover separately as far as I know after the third year.

As far as extended warranties, the VW one is the best value (cheapest) I've seen on any car; we just ordered our Cali Ocean last week and we've included the extended warranty; dealer explained that the Cali comes with 3 years as standard and the extended takes it to 5 years for just £329 + VAT.
One of the main reasons I bought a new van...the extra two years extended warranty and service plan should give five years peace of mind hopefully!!!
I think that your use is exceptional though @Amarillo! 80,000 miles over five years is pretty unusual on a Cali I would have thought?Yeah - except for the 80,000 mile limit. We've done over 32,000 miles in the first 15 months. If we carry on at that rate our 5 year warranty will last just 36 months giving a value of £zero to a £329 plus VAT warranty extension!
