Club joker and Sven owners

There's a 22 plate Sven with 15k just gone on Autotrader as a private sale for 75k. They certainly seem to hold their value can't imagine it'll be sitting around for much time. @Californication69 you not still temped ;)
The guy put it on the FB Sven page, and I called him. It’s a legit van, but I had a conundrum.
Im going to plow on and get the mortgage paid off in 3 years then save and buy a nice new van to trip about in. (Instead of a 10 year mortgage, which would put me at 63.)

It’s a nice van. Im tempted. And £75k is £20k less than new so it’s pitched to sell.

If you're prepared to wait and take a biggish risk of it being sold, you may even be able to chip him a little on the price. That grey is definitely better than the black I have !

From memory the one you looked at in June was a better buy, no?

It had a bit of warranty left yes.
The one now has zero warranty. The guy was trying to say it had 3 years warranty.
I had to tell him, no, Sven has but 2 year only warranty !

Also saw two black full electric Range Rovers on the A45 today past Gayden.
They did accelerate nicely. Really very quick.
Both prototype vehicles.
I’ve had an email invitation to drive an SV sport around Gaydon proving ground for a whole 4 hours in a Sunday morning. Looks like fun

I've traded in my 2023 Range Rover in yesterday for something different, it's not been the best. I've had the AA out 2 times it's had to have 2 security updates and the insurance premiums are utterly crazy! You may want to reconsider that choice!!! Although I love the look of JLR products and have had several I'm thinking my time with them is finished

What you going for ?
BMW ? Or a bigger van ?
Our Defender 110 XS has been faultless for 6 months. Long may it continue !
Had 3 years trouble free motoring in a d165 Evoque.
The d250 defender with air is a different beast.
It will have an oil and filter at 1 year old.
Then JLR service at 2 years.
Not risking the oil dilution situation.

I've bought a Ghost as it's been a lifelong ambition and the crazy thing is the insurance on it is £250 less than the Range Rover!
No still keeping the Sven absolutely love it, it just ticks every box so well. I've had 2 110's and I agree they're better than the Range Rover. After the accountants had been into JLR they took air suspension away as a standard option, and I had one on coils. It was awful, you definitely need air suspension with the Defender particularly if you're wanting to go offroad.
They are one of the best looking SUV's around, I had 110 300D's HSE and both gave me less trouble than the newer Ranger Rover.

There is a 2011 ghost for £59k.
Does 30mpg.
Why haven’t I thought of one of these before !
Lovely motor.
I sat in the white Rolls, whilst working at goodwood, Jessie J sat in for the 2012 London Olympics. Very nice piece of kit. The rolls, not Jessie, although….

I've done a track day at Goodwood before too, I had a strange feeling of de ja vu until it was pointed out to me it was what the Scalextric tracks were based on then it all made sense!
Come on dish the dirt was she a bit of a Prima Donna!? :)

....it's now gone they don't seem to stick around for long. I see there is a 2023 Club Joker for a whisker under 80k, clearly the residuals is rock solid on them too!

Interestingly there is a Club Joker City which has been on there ages and discounted but still not shifted.

Club Joker City is short wheelbase vs the Club Joker long wheelbase. Losing the upper storage and also condensing the interior space is a tough sell. I know several here also sitting for sale for months.

Pretty unique and rare so values should always hold up. (fingers crossed)
I also think there's more to it than just that, there are plenty of other unique vans which are made in small numbers which don't hold their value.

In my experience it's the rock solid build quality and I'm sure the unparalleled heritage of the brand also helps.

Someone on the Sven FB is selling a 7 month old SH with lithium conversion, 5g wifi, Warlord alloys and pretty much every aftermarket item you can add for £84k if I hadn't already got one I'd have bought it in a heartbeat. Looks like a bit of a bobby dazzler for anyone wanting one....

2nd one in a month that someone has sold up. It’s a cracking looking van - changed gas rings to induction hob so no gas at all. 300w plus of solar to go with lithium.

Thanks working now!

Wow their residuals are pretty much bulletproof, 10 years old, 100k miles and probably still at around 60 % of what it cost new in 2014!!!!
I wonder if there has been an issue with the roof at some point with this van. No Westfalia graphic to front of roof and it has been relined in grey to roof sides.

Had to use our Club Joker yesterday for showers, cooking and fridge as we had a big power cut. A campervan on the drive can be very useful at times.
