Electric connection

Hello everyone ! We have a Cali T5. we were trying to get the our small camping kettle going today at the back of the van but found there was no current (through the main plug located behind the front seat) . It does work when we are hooked up to the mains , but no current when we are not. just wanting to check this is correct ? Thanks. Philippe

That’s correct. Only works when plugged in.

No, the leisure batteries are 12 volt, not 240v. You need to be on mains hookup for the mains socket to work.

I think there might be some confusion in the posts. Are we talking about the 2 pin inverter socket on the B pillar or a 3 pin “normal socket” as fitted to the Ocean kitchen unit?
