First oil change

Anyone know how to get oil filter off 2015 180 ? I tried but couldn’t budge it . Not easy to get at either .

No not if it's that tight!

I had an EGR valve changed (new filter comes with the new unit) and when I came to do an oild change after that it was too tight to unscrew. I took it back to the dealer who did the EGR change and asked (told) them to change the filter for me as they had left the vehicle in that condition. The first comment came back 'No as it sometimes breaks the EGR body' they did however do the job FOC after a few choice words.

I hope that you find a way to unscrew yours, mine has been OK on DIY services ever since.

Well I don’t trust any of it! Oil change every 10K miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. If you are doing low mileage (like many Calis) it’s even more important to drop the oil. It’s such an insignificant cost in the scheme of things (maybe not in Switzerland!).

VW maintenance prescriptions (if you use the correct engine oil!).
