Members other rides ..???!!!!

From my limited knowledge (I worked with horses for a while) that looks like a fine pair!

Yes,she is a bit different, complete loopy, but very brave.Talking about the wife's horse not the wife......well come to think about it!!

Only wishes we could up the power,1 horsepower never seems to be quick enough!!

So chuffed to finally work out how to add photo's, although did have help from my computer literate wife as I'm a complete computer retard!
So this is our current drive, having finally given up on a long list of sports cars & bikes in an effort to accommodate the kids - and keep my licence intact!
Just fitted the sidebars last week to the Cali & Kombi (the Autobrands ones recommended on the forum - which I can now also recommend)
Hopefully Sportline alloys for both next on the list, then VW bike rack & tow bar for the Cali - the list goes on!
The TR6 is a '69 and will hopefully, after a little more work, be coming on tour with us once I get the tow bar sorted - gonna need some Lotto funding!

A few changes for us coming up car wise. My Dad sadly passed away after a short illness whilst abroad over Easter so I will be having his SL55 AMG and we will be selling our Discovery 3 and running Dad's Range Rover Vogue SE instead. My wife says she wanted something more economical than the Discovery as it only does around 23mpg. the Range Rover has a 4.2 Supercharged Jaguar V8 in it and does about 17mpg. Haven't told her yet...

My Mum got her A45 AMG in March and it is a fantastic little car, almost completed the 1,000 mile running in period so looking forward to seeing what it can really do once that is done!

cheers

Very sorry to hear of your loss Alex.

Sorry to hear about that Alex.
Nice cars to inherit but pales into insignificance on the grand scheme of things.

Just the Cali for me, and this ' 80 golf mk1 formule E Pirelli with just 70000km on it!

Nice machine. Takes me back to the mid 80's when I used to go to lots of scooter rallies (or spend my weekend broken down in a layby... :D )

This went in the Europe section but seems more appropriate here - a very German car in a very German setting.

I must shut the door next time!

The car was brilliant - it's not the fastest (although it IS very fast), it's not the firmest but what it does do is cross Europe in total comfort and luxury (superb satnav, comfortable, good stereo, etc) then blast down German autobahns and mountain roads at a huge rate of knots. It also manages mid 30s to the gallon (34.9 from Cornwall to Folkestone - NOT hanging about!) and 300-350 miles on a tank of fuel. And that straight six turbo'd soundtrack is a lovely!

Anyway very pleased with the little M135i. Not the prettiest car (I'd call it purposeful but I do like it) either but I like the fact it's all but invisible to all but the geekiest car geek. It's either a rather expensive hatch or a very good value GT/performance car. Several have had mid 4s to 60 without launch control (which ours has) - some have dipped below 4.5s. And mid 10s to 100 seems fairly easy to achieve. And it battered many "proper" performance cars (including C63 AMG Merc, RS4, M5, M3, etc) around the TG track

Yeah all that still goes on. I get to maybe 3 or 4 big scooter rallies each year and often many can be seen in a lay-by with their pride and joy in 100's of bits :-D

We had the 20th anniversary of my old scooter club 10 odd years ago and all them that didn't end up in prison turned up. It was brilliant! There seems to be a huge resurgence over recent years. I would like to go to a rally again but I still remember IOW '87 and it puts me off :D

Haha, yes there's lots of stories to be told by many from around that time and place.
IOW is still hugely popular and 1,000's still go and have a massive ride out however it's mostly old farts like me reliving their youth a bit on shiny antique Lambretta's and Vespas :-D
