Well after a couple of weeks all has settled down and seems like home again; some nice additions to what was already a well presented forum

The only thing I’ve noticed, and this may not be anything to do with the new forum software, is that my iPad (Pro) has been a bit jerkey lately when scrolling, and occasionally the letters appear on screen a few seconds after typing them. I wonder has anyone else noticed this, or whether it’s something at my end?

I get the jumpy scrolling on my iPP as well... but only reading a topic, I think its the ad block on the right as it scrolls perfectly with the list of new posts that are full width.

Like the frozen menu bar as i can bypass certain posts that don't interest me, i won't mention which ones for fear of a backlash

Looks great. If you’re looking for work lol the picture gallery, on the Cali for sale pages, on iPhone, could use some tlc
When you click to enlarge, Pics come out very small, low res and difficult to zoom in.

^The handling of photos in the for sale section has always needed some work in my opinion.
1) when viewed on a phone, they are tiny and next to useless
2) when used on any larger device, having to click / touch exactly on the "next" or "previous" seems very 1990s. On most websites touching anywhere on the right hand side moves the photo reel forwards, anywhere on the left moves it backwards. Swiping would be an even further improvement.
I'm not losing sleep over these but if after areas for improvement, then it needs doing, particularly as its a revenue generating part of the site.

To be honest, It was a design choice to break up the block capitals and make it look a little less structured. But I agree it could possibly be used on both "i"'s as its a discreet and subtle thing anyway.

Will test it later to see if it looks any good.

Will the Forum Members Map be making a comeback in the future?

Hold your finger down on the “like” icon and a flyout menu appears with all the options

Quite a few people have been asking for us to bring back the logo, our existing logo did not work with the new design so we are just playing with a few idea's.

What are your thoughts? ( see top header )

Might have been said before but the van in the logo is a conversion not a Cali. The front edge of the roof of a Cali doesn’t taper and has a front spoiler part instead that doesn’t raise. It’s the way that I use to recognise a Cali from a distance on a campsite. Mind you, even VW themselves don’t get that right.



Otherwise all great (after switching to the blue theme) and thanks to admins for your hard work.

Still mis the "flag" saying where the member is browsing from ,it ads a more global atmosfeer to the forum seeing flags from over the world online.....
Also the year of the verhicle used to be visible if the member added this , most did ...and always good info when anwsering to Q's

Cache automatically times out eventually

Apologies if you are working fix this problem!
When I access the Forum (on a PC running Windows 10) I get the following screen and I click on "Recent Posts" - see first image.

After clicking "Recent Posts" I get this next screen showing I am in "New Posts" in the second menu bar. See next image.

I then click on "Recent posts" in the second menu bar (because it shows I am in "New Posts") and get this next screen still showing I am in "New Posts". Something definitely not right here.

Also to me very confusing and not giving the results i want .
There need to be just one button , showing all the posts added since the last vistit ....
That to me is recent posts /new posts / what's new ....or whatever you may name it at that point .
But why 3 diffrent tabs ?
Confusing .

I use both, new posts to catch up but then I might research an answer for a question and then use recent posts to find the post I want to add to.

I would like the option to ignore subforums please. (i.e. when I check on new posts I don't get certain subforums)


I could do that in the previous forum but haven't found the setting here.

Is that still possible? I can 't find the setting
