Reduce oil level

I checked my oil and found it at 1/4 on the checker portion, topped it up to 3/4 when cold.
4000 mile 2024 bitdi 204.
Put the caravan on and towed it for about 150 miles when then caution oil level high warning came on. We had a few miles to the campsite so checked it there about 30 minutes after we had stopped.
It was a bit above the top ball, waited until the morning and it was still above the ball !
I've now checked the manual and it says the engine should be at normal operating temperature and the level checked after 5mins!
Currently waiting for Mr Amazon to deliver a suction pump !!!
SO CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL WHEN IT'S HOT !

So I took Vinnie to a local Auto Electrical specialist to investigate the disco lights of problems. They attached it to the super up version of Carista and Reset every single piece of memory. Since that point yesterday, no errors have shown up whatsoever.

Oil level is at the max when cold.

Watch out for that video (unless it's been updated). I got in a panic when I watched. T

I had just had the van in for a service at local independent mechanic and they overfilled the oil. They explained that they followed guidelines on some service they use - it wasn't up to date. They put to much oil in.

The manual says where to fill the oil level to on the dipstick.
Same issue for us

I'm having trouble understanding this, sorry.
So a 2024 204 that has done only 4000 miles, when cold is indicating it's used a reasonable large amount of oil, imo, 1/4 on dipstick. You then filled it, (when cold) to the 3/4 mark on the dip stick. After a drive of 150 it now warns you it is over filled, and now it's cold it fails to return to the 3/4 mark as you would expect.
So is it over filled, or is there a sensor error?

I had over filled it because I topped it up when cold, I've taken 0.5ltr out and we did a forty mile journey yesterday with no caution light, but it monitors for 60 miles before making its announcement 'strangely'. We're doing about 80 miles today so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Just a thought That 60 miles is probably just shy of 100km so by design

I'm not sure the the 60 miles was the trigger for the warning, if you just open & close the bonnet that resets the warning for a period of time.

After opening the bonnet to suck 0.5ltrs out and driving 89 miles ........ no caution message
Checked the oil level 5 mins after shut down it's 2/3 rds full. Not touching it ever again!

Still having problems!
Recap:
2021 ocean
Oil level light appears, so I get the van serviced
Oil light remains joined by many other unrelated error lights.
Take it to an electrical specialist that doesn’t find the issue. Recommends replacing oil level sensor.

Today
Oil level sensor replaced, error light still remains on. Grrrrrr
Garage recommend replacing the sensor within the Sump.

I still think the fault is electrical not mechanical.

Has anyone had the same plethora of error lights and solved it please?

Have you checked in with the T6 Forum? Very knowledgeable on the T6/6.1. A few threads on this topic.
