Interested to see who has booked a last minute trip to France since moving to Amber status.
Also If you have booked , do you understand exactly what we have to do to return to uk?
I am considering Dordogne in September , but am a little confused on what we have to do to return to uk ? (Both Double Jabbed).

We are thinking of a booking a trip for October. Yes, late in the year but we’ll go as far south as needed to get decent weather.

As I understand it, if you are doubled jabbed you still need to test on return but can swerve the self isolation requirement.

Don't be surprised if regulations change a few times before it is October... They may still change while you are away... :D
Yes, very likely :-(

In my case I booked to be there now but had to change plans due to last move to Amber+ or Red- depending on your viewpoint.
Isolation would have meant impossible for my Wife to go for 3 monthly Cancer check appointment.
Now change of rules would have meant that had we been there now no Isolation required on return.

Now working on the basis of not booking anything until last moment as have been forced to change plans 5 times so far this year has shown how unpredictable the rules are, both French & British/English.

Gut feeling is that Rules will relax in September once main holiday season ends.

Unfortunately Covid-19, will do what it wants when it wants and we, the government and the scientists can but react to it. It won’t give us 3 days notice let alone 3 weeks.

We’re booking our eurotunnel for October this week.
If things change we’ll just shift the date to next spring
