What have you done with your California today?

Hadn’t heard of either of them so looked them up. Both sound really interesting and weyfest looks great fun (do you go in Star Fleet uniform, Capt?).

So far we’ve booked: Upton on Seven folk fest, Beardy folk fest, Ely folk fest, Folk East, Shrewsbury folk fest, Timber fest. Thinking about Shepley Spring fest, Warwick folk fest and acoustic fest of GB.

So many festivals and so little time. Lots that I’d like to go to clash. I do love a festival!

Depending on what else comes up for that bank hol, I fancy honey folk on 2 June. Where do you get tickets from for that one?
You call the barge inn at honey street and they will do it over the phone.

Went to a very helpful dealer - SALA HERMANOS, Avinguda de Dénia, Alicante

After dropping my husband off for a flight I spend 2 hours shopping with the van siting in the sun. So driving away on a duel carriageway I had a ping and a warning light came on. It was unintelligible, a “ ! “ in a half circle and wavy lines. Lucky I knew exactly where the VW dealer was; the other side of this duel carriageway so around a roundabout and drove in.

My Spanish is not perfect but good enough to say I had an indication that I did not understand. A very helpful salesman got in the van and observed it was a tyre problem. He took the van into the workshop checked the tyres and reset the system. As it was getting near to closing the mechanics came out and said I had a great van.

I should have realised the problem as we have had it before in Spain, it seems that the sun may have been different on one side to the other and heating up the tyres and changing the pressure. This is the first warm day in the 30days we have been in Spain.

I would recommend this dealer for helpfulness.

Yep, just on one last adventure in it.
Then I post some extra pics of the inside.

Let’s just say I will not need to change my user name;)
Despite the thread elsewhere about Cali’s I have to admit the Westfalia Joker is an impressive van! I saw one at our local market in Fife a few months ago that a couple from Germany use to go back and forth between Germany and Scotland every 6 weeks……… to be honest if I could afford one I deffo would have one…….. toilet, shower, standing room, an upstairs bed without feeling like being in a tent……….. what’s not to like? :)

Helping daughter and future son-in-law to move houses. It was an epic 637 mile 24 hour day. 230 miles from Cornwall to Home in the morning.

Another 407 miles - Newbury > Maidenhead (to pick up the trailer), Tooting in London (pick up stuff), Hedge End Southampton to pick up more stuff, Back to Newbury to Pick up yet more stuff and then to Bath to drop off all the stuff, then back to Maidenhead to drop off the trailer and back to Newbury.

With the traffic restrictions in Bath and them having got the house on a busy thoroughfare, decided to do the move overnight so as not to disturb the traffic much. The full rig occupied 2 parking spaces , but the Cali, as always, pulled brilliantly and driving with it was super manageable.

Both van and trailer were full :Nailbiting :)

Joined the EV drivers in the range anxiety club. 5 miles to nearest fuel station. Found it closed for a safety inspection... luckily just a 30 minute wait. Didn't fancy trying my luck with the 5 miles to next closest.
If its anything like my 2014 Audi S4, I could hit zero on the odo range and still have another 1.5 gallons left in the tank. If the Cali is programmed with a similar safety margin, I think you're probably OK for another 10-20 miles. That said I seem to have read somewhere that running out of diesel is more of a problem than petrol due to how the engines operate.
