What have you done with your California today?

First time I’ve used it for ages.

Drive to the local garage 1/2 mile away. MOT with no issues.

Wanted to clean out my garbage bin. Nearly got a heartattack as I discovered an illegal nursery - no paddo's alas. But big trouble as probably a leakage in the drain pipe, so awaiting better weather to dismantle part of the interior :-(

Had my Cali machine polished and ceramic coated. Looked great until I had to drive it home on salt covered roads.

Took everything out of the van.
Washed all the bedding/covers.
Bought a couple of the Ikea washing up bowls for kitchen storage.
About to put everything back in the van.

What a time to be alive.

Bought another jack, trolley one today

Hi would you recommend the ceramic coating, I'm thinking if doing when I eventually get delivery of my Cali

Nice sticker!!!

Thank you. Well, the van got another coat of wax and another sticker today. Yesterday was the carnauba liquid wax. Not happy with the result, so more elbow grease today to apply the Simoniz Original.

The water beads off better with the original wax ... though it is a lot of hard work.

Raised the roof to air it out yesterday as it was a breezy and a very dry day for a change.

Converted the back into an in transit loo area. Behind the back seat. Which is pulled fully forward after removing the seat stop. Other benefit is the access to the tool set.

Moved a disassembled loft bed and double mattress to storage.

On returning I timed how long it would take to convert to four rear seats (3 seat bench and one captains chair).

From parking on the driveway to being ready to take four adults in the back was 2m 53s, including shortening the multiflex and removing and replacing the floor rails. A lot of people complain that removing and replacing single seats is a pain in the arse. I do it regularly and it gets easier with practice.

140 x 200cm pocket sprung mattress. It looks comfy!

Now that’s what I call a ‘Comfort Mattress’.
