6.1 Emergency roof closure taking out control panel

I have found this video posted on YouTube by Calicap.ch. I thought it might be of interest. Not something to be done in a hurry!

The old display seems far easier to remove if necessary.

That release screw might as well not exist if you have to
remove all that just to get to it.

T6.1 Roof Stuck Open

Hi all, Hope you're all faring well in these troubled time. In an attempt to get some use out of the cali we've had the pop top up for a couple of days on the drive and this morning when I went to close it (impending rain), the control panel is not responding to Close or Open. It flashed up...

Has the rotary control knob changed, because that was the cause of the problem on the T5 and T6?

Unless desperate and VW Assist could not provide on site help in the timescale needed, I would not touch that with a barge pole (while covered by warranty).
