Well they sold it to me and I’m saying nothing. I have the receipt. If I get to year 4 and something goes tits up, then guess where I’ll be seeing them if they refuse to fix it.So does that mean they still do it??
Emailed dealer stating other Cali owners seem to still be getting it so there looking into it for me. Will keep you posted with any updates i getWell they sold it to me and I’m saying nothing. £4k, OUCH!!I ordered the extended warranty on my new Beach contract on Aug 10th & it’s included on my finance. As I’m just about to drop £4K on repairing a Caravelle DSG with only 56,000 miles on it, this is a deal breaker for me!
Its not the end of the world, the extended warranty is always an option at the end of the 3 years? If it was discontinued at the end of June then I'm glad I bought my extended warranty straight away instead of waiting till later on within the 90 day period. My Beach was registered on the 15th June.
One of the reasons of buying my 2nd Beach was to get the peace of mind of the 5 year warranty.

Haha, let me enjoy thr t6 first. Planning to keep this cali for a good few years until it completely dies on me or people start throwing eggs at diesel cars. The older the vw vans get, the more character they seem to get.Its not the end of the world, gives you an excuse to buy a T7!
Hi @2haw, yes, i have a 9 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. Looking very much to having some adventures with them!Buy the extended warranty if it is available. Don't worry about it if it's not.
The most versatile car you can buy. I doubt very much you'll regret it.
Do you have kids Mark?
Thank you. Confusingly, the one you buy at thr beginning is called the 'factory extended warranty'. Sent link to dealer so hopefully something positive comes backI think the warranty offered after 3 years is not as good a deal as the one for up to 3 months after purchase.
It's more expensive and there are more exclusions and maximum amounts of payout.
Try and get the extended warranty now if you can. I would call VWCS and ask them if it is still available as my experience with trying to get it from the dealer was extraordinary. I was showing the dealer what was available with their literature from the website and they weren't aware that the warranty being offered had changed. We eventually got it, but it was a bit of a fight.
I never even got a receipt from Llandudno, just a credit card slip. I have got a copy of the invoice though.Sinclair Vans in Cardiff sold it to me on 12 Aug 2018 for about £350+vat. Didn’t get anything apart from a receipt though.
Hi Colin, Always get a formal receipt, especially for something like this. An invoice doesnt mean its been paid and a credit card receipt could be for absolutely anything as it doesnt specify what the payment was for.I never even got a receipt from Llandudno, just a credit card slip. I have got a copy of the invoice though.
Im hoping that date range is just for the price and maybe its they still offer the FEW but the price has increased a bit?https://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/content/dam/vw-ngw/vw_nfz/importers/gb/Downloads/warranty/Factory Extended Warranty leaflet_March2018.pdf/_jcr_content/renditions/original.media_file.download_attachment.file/Factory Extended Warranty leaflet_March2018.pdf
Warranty available from 1 April 2017 - 30 June 2018.
I’d expect VWUK to grant some leeway for transporter based vans delivered before 30 June 2018 and extended warranty requested within 3 months of delivery, but no other exceptions.

Not worth the money that one, will be four figures. Stick the money away instead for repairs if needed. Its not the end of the world, the extended warranty is always an option at the end of the 3 years?
Just put the £1924.12 into a new van instead!True,
Just pretended to own a 3 year old california and get a quote from warranty wise to see how much they are for future reference.....View attachment 37660
Just seeing how much it would be and its made me realise the £329 deal is good vakue so hopefully get some positive feedback from the dealer soon saying they still do it!Just put the £1924.12 into a new van instead!
That's why it will be a shame if they don't do it anymoreAfter market warranties are not the same as Factory warranty.
Not even close! Even if sold by VW
